Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.

As with all PADI courses, it is 'performance' based and involves knowledge development and 5 rescue training sessions (in pool, confined or open water, from shore or boat) plus 4 open water rescue scenarios. During these, you will cover:

Accident management

First aid for pressure related injuries and oxygen administration

Missing diver

Panicked diver

Preparation for emergencies

Responding to diver emergencies

Response at surface and exit

Response from shore or boat with both a responsive and unresponsive diver

Self-rescue

The psychology of rescue

Tired diver
